AI visibility · Monitor
Does AI name your business?
When your buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini who to call, are you in the answer? Monitor, opening soon, counts how often you are named and cited, and says how sure that count is.
What it is
Named, cited, or missing.
AI visibility is whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini name and cite your business for the questions your buyers ask.
Named means the answer mentions you. Cited means it links to your site as a source. An answer can do either, both or neither, and the mix tells you different things: a citation without a mention means the engine trusts your page but recommends someone else.
Why it matters
For a small business, the shortlist is the market.
01
Buyers ask before they search
More people now ask an assistant for a shortlist (an accountant, a supplier, a tool) before they open a search page. If the answer names three firms and you are not one of them, you never hear about that buyer.
02
The answer is not a ranking
There is no position ten to climb from. An engine names a business or it does not, and it can give a different answer to the same question an hour later. That is why it has to be measured across many answers, not checked once.
03
Small businesses can win it
Engines lean on what is written about you: your own pages, directories, reviews, local press. A small firm with clear, consistent information can be named alongside much larger ones.
How Monitor works
Many answers, counted honestly.
01
Choose the questions your buyers ask
Questions in your buyers' words, without your name in them: "Who is a good bookkeeper for a small charity in Leeds?" You add up to three competitors to compare against.
02
Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, more than once
Each question goes to all 3 engines with web search on, 3 times a week, because the same question gets different answers.
03
Count who is named and cited
Every answer is read for your name, your competitors' names and links to your site. You can open any answer and read it in full.
04
Report a share with its range
Results read like "named in 7 of 45 answers; likely 8–29%". A change is only reported when this week's range and last week's no longer overlap.
Plans
What it tracks and what it costs.
Prices are in GBP, ex VAT, billed monthly or yearly (two months free). Results are never blurred on any plan: what changes is how often it runs and how much it covers. AI visibility tracking opens to accounts in order of sign-up.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is AI visibility the same as SEO?
They overlap but they are not the same. SEO measures where your pages rank in a list of links. AI visibility measures whether an assistant names your business in its answer, which can draw on sources that never rank on page one: directories, reviews, forums and local press.
Which engines are tracked?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, each with web search turned on, because that is how most people now use them to find a business. Google's AI Overviews are not sampled.
Can you tell me how many people asked?
No. None of the engines publish how often a question is asked. Monitor tells you how often you are named when a question is asked, which is the part you can influence.
Do I need to change my website first?
No. Visibility is measured from the answers, whatever state your site is in. Whether AI tools can read your site is a separate check, and it is reported separately.
