1. The short version
Essential cookies run the site and remember this choice. Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Google Tag Manager do not load until you opt in. Rejecting optional cookies leaves the site working. You can change the choice later.
2. How we ask
On a first visit a banner offers accept, reject, or settings. Until you choose, optional tools stay off. The choice is stored in zn_cookie_consent for six months. After that, or if we add a new optional category, we ask again.
The same controls live on Cookie Settings and in the footer.
3. Essential
Always on. They do not need a separate opt-in because the site fails without them:
- Remembering accept / reject / custom preferences
- Keeping a sign-in session if you have an account
- Basic interface state in the signed-in app
- Security and load-balancing the host already sets
4. Analytics
Optional. If you allow analytics we load Google Analytics 4 (IP anonymised) and Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights so we can see which pages are used and whether the site is slow. If you refuse, those scripts never load and we delete any leftover _ga cookies we can reach.
5. Marketing
Optional. If you allow marketing we load Google Tag Manager, which may run advertising, conversion, or measurement tags configured in that container — for example Google Ads or Microsoft Clarity. If you refuse, Tag Manager does not load. We do not use the banner as implied consent.

Appearance may also sit in local storage for the theme. Cal.com may set its own cookies when you use /book. This list changes if we add or drop a tool; the date at the top will move.

Once a provider is loaded, their policy covers what they do with the cookie. We do not load Google or Vercel analytics until you opt in.
8. How to change
Use Cookie Settings, the footer link, or the first-visit banner. Rejecting optional cookies after you had accepted them updates the stored choice, turns the scripts off for new page views, and clears the tracking cookies this site can reach.

Blocking essential cookies can break sign-in. This site does not honour a browser "Do Not Track" signal; use Cookie Settings instead.
