AI search
llms.txt generator
Draft an llms.txt file from your own pages and sitemap, grouped into offers, actions and resources, ready to edit and upload.
What it is
What llms.txt does, and what it doesn't
llms.txt is a short Markdown file at the root of a site. It gives AI tools a plain summary of who you are and a list of the pages worth reading, so an assistant that fetches it can find the right page without wading through menus and scripts.
It helps AI tools read your site. It doesn't make AI engines recommend you. Google says its AI features need no special AI text files, only pages it can crawl and content worth quoting (Google's guidance). Whether assistants name you depends on what you publish and what others write about you.
To check that AI crawlers can reach and read your pages at all, run the AI readiness audit. It also checks an llms.txt once you upload one. How being read differs from being named is in how AI visibility is measured.
Method
How the draft is made
We read your homepage, the sitemap named in robots.txt or at /sitemap.xml, and up to 24 more pages: the ones your homepage links to first, then the shallowest pages in the sitemap. Each line uses the page's title, without your brand name, and its meta description. Rules sort the pages, not AI, and we don't store your site.
Offers
Services, products and pricing: anything that isn't one of the groups below.
Actions
Pages where someone acts: contact, booking, demos, quotes, orders and sign-up.
Resources
Blog posts, guides, help, case studies and tools. After ten, the rest move to Optional.
About
About, team, careers, press and results.
Optional
Legal pages, extra resources and the sitemap: what an AI tool can skip when it is short of room.
Sign-in, basket, search and tag pages are left out. The format follows the llmstxt.org proposal: a heading with the site's name, a one-line summary, then sections of links.
